Are you a skilled Plumbing/Heating Engineer that would welcome the security of being a paid employee and earning a competitive salary?

The Italian Plumber are looking for full-time Plumbing/Heating Engineers with minimum of 2 years experience of working in UK.

We will provide you with a great salary, paid annual leave and a company vehicle - including fuel card and stock. You’ll provide an excellent service to all our customers, attending appointments during regular working hours (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm) as well as helping the team by working on-call one weekend out of four for emergency call-outs.


  •      NVQ2/NVQ3 in Plumbing and Heating
  •      2 years experience working in UK
  •      Full, clean UK driving license
  •      You must have and be able to use your own tools
  •      Available to work on-call, out-of-hours every fourth weekend
  •      Applicants must be over 25 years old for insurance purposes

Trainee Programme

Need Plumbing experience? We offer a Plumbing Internship – you must be able to work in West and Central London. Internships are available on a voluntary basis, meaning you won’t be paid for your work.  However, the skills and experience you will gain from working alongside our highly skilled and experienced Plumbing/ Heating Engineers will be well worth your investment of time.

You must have a City and Guilds technical plumbing certificate 6129, an NVQ 2 in plumbing or studying for an NVQ 3 in Plumbing to be considered for an internship.

Interns work 3 days a week for between 6 months and a year. If you are booking jobs outside of your work with The Italian Plumber, you are encouraged to schedule these around your committed time with us.  You must be able to get to jobs especially in West London by 7.45 am each morning. You must be polite, presentable and professional, taking care to work in a tidy fashion as you will be working in private houses. You need to be computer literate to work with us but we will provide you with the training you’ll need to use our software for booking jobs and invoicing.

The selection process:  We will look at your CV, then invite the best candidates to come for an interview.  If this goes well we will invite you to spend a day with one of our senior engineers, who will decide whether you should be offered one of our internship places.

Portfolios: We will help you get all the experience you need for your Portfolios and co-operate with you when you need on site inspections. This includes building a portfolio to support you in taking your ACS gas exams and go forward to become Gas Safe and Water Safe registered.

Uniforms: We will provide you with work wear including trousers, shirts and fleeces. You must source your own suitable work boots.
